Baboon antics in Ruaha

These Yellow baboons are having a glorious time chilling out and playing.
The photos were taken by Rebecca Phillips at Mdonya Old River Camp in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.

The camp is set on the banks of an old sand river which is now used by animals as a corridor - and a great place to graze, as there is still water below the surface.

Unusually, at Mdonya there are a small number of white baboons, due to a genetic defect. They are leucistic, not albino - the rest of the troupe accepts them without problems.

You can read more about these white baboons in our post from last November.
