This January-February period has been good for rains in the Ruaha National Park in southern Tanzania.

The Great Ruaha River is flowing (though this will be temporary, as there is so far no let-up in the careless and wasterful use of source water of this important river, by rice farmers)

So – nature takes advantage and many species produce their young in this season of plentiful water and foraging.
