A lesson in embracing differences
Rebecca Phillips, manager at Mdonya Old River camp in the Ruaha National Park, Tanzania, recently posted a great story about white baboons in Travel Africa magazine. It is well worth a read!
There is a large troupe of 50-60 baboons in the area around the camp, and they get up to all sorts of mischief.
This troupe has at least one leucistic baboon - they are not albino - and the rest of the group are remarkably tolerant of the white baby baboon. As Rebecca says, it is a good lesson in embracing differences!
