Ruaha Butterflies

Micol Farina is a biologist who works for Essential Destinations, who own some amazing camps in Tanzania - Mdonya Old River camp in Ruaha, and Lake Manze camp in Selous. These two sister camps have such a silent footprint, with no permanent structures, that the animals wander through peacefully grazing. This in turn brings the predators - lions, leopards, wild dog and even cheetah.

Acrea butterfly

Micol made these beautiful studies of some of the butterflies of Ruaha National Park during the time she was manager of the camp, some time ago. We are delighted to show them to you now, in the hope that they will give you as much pleasure as they do to us.
