It is dry in southern Tanzania at the moment - in the Selous the lakes and the Rufiji river are dropping down in level and the shores are muddy, often trapping animals desperate for a drink.

In Ruaha these elephants enjoy a mud bath - its cooling, fun and helps deter insects. In March the rains will come and change the whole picture again.
