The Lions of The Ruaha
An Mdonya Old River camp safari car with guests watching lions on a giraffe kill in Ruaha National Park
In the Ruaha National Park it is difficult to visit without seeing at least one pride of lions. According to the Ruaha Carnivore Project, the Ruaha holds 10% of Africa's entire lions.
These beautiful studies are taken by Andrea Pompele, a manager at Mdonya Old River Camp, where the local "Mdonya pride" is commonly to be seen and heard in the camp environs.
