Zanzibar Fruit Market

The fruit at Dharajani market in Zanzibar Stone Town is luscious. Best time to shop is in the evening, when its a little cooler and will soon be time to start the evening meal.... here you have pieapples, limes, mangoes, ginger, guavas, coconuts and nearby will be the vegetable stalls. Sometimes there are mangosteens - my favourite - but you have to ask for them, they are kept in a bag below the counter, like truffles because of their rarity.​​
